Sen. Maralyn Chase, D-Shoreline, on Wednesday was presented with an award of appreciation by Action DD, which advocates on behalf of people with developmental disabilities.
Chase has long been an advocate of the developmentally disabled community and their families, working in the past on issues such as housing and employment.
“She has represented people in the state of Washington with developmental disabilities above and beyond the call of duty,” said Paul Strand, President of Action DD. “She’s given more than enough and we love her for it.
“She’s been with us all along. She has a heart for people with developmental disabilities.”
