It not only shows how our state taxes are structured, it lets you change them any way you like—and then shows you how your version compares to our existing tax structure. You can slash taxes, you can raise taxes, you can create an income tax, you can eliminate the sales tax—the options are almost endless.

Simply click here to access the tax model. Then click on the bar titled “Change Tax Rates and Select Tax Options” and make any changes you like. When you’ve completed your changes, hit “Enter.” Then click on the “Short Summary” bar to see how your tax structure compares to our existing tax structure. You can also click on “Long Summary” for a more detailed breakdown, or any of the other bars to see other breakdowns or how our tax structure compares to other states.
