Sen. Steve Hobbs, D-Lake Stevens, on Thursday discussed the need for a bipartisan approach to cut the federal deficit and avoid the pitfalls associated with the fiscal cliff.

Hobbs, the Washington state co-chair of the Campaign to Fix the Debt, talked about the urgency of the fiscal cliff and the dire consequences all Americans face should congress let the deadline pass without action.
