It was recommended on Tuesday that Sen. Steve Hobbs, D-Lake Stevens, remain chair of the Senate Financial Institutions, Housing, Insurance and Telecommunications Committee and that he also serve as vice chair of the Transportation Committee.

"I'm pleased that it was proposed that I remain chairman of my committee. Over the years we have done a lot of good for the people of Washington through our work on legislation like the Foreclosure Fairness Act," Hobbs said. "The recommendation that I serve as vice chair of transportation is a big responsibility that I’m ready to take on."

It was also recommended on Tuesday that Hobbs remain on the Agriculture, Trade & Economic Development Committee and also serve on the Rules Committee.
