Lawmakers to announce bills to combat human trafficking, including stopping exploitation of minors on escort websites

OLYMPIA – Democratic and Republican senators will announce multiple bills to combat human trafficking at a press conference next Monday. This includes legislation to keep minors from being exploited through escort services on websites.

Human trafficking includes the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services, through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, or slavery.
