It’s always fun to see our local students come to the Legislature for a week to work as Senate pages. It’s a great way for them to learn how our government works and how our laws are made – and the best part is sometimes we learn at least as much from them. In this case, Birgitta Geisler, 16, of Vancouver gave me some lessons in how to appear thoughtful and wise. I’m pretty sure I nailed the thoughtful part, even if the wise part isn’t quite there yet . But I’m working on it.
