It's official, today Christine Rolfes was sworn in to represent the 23rd District in the Washington State Senate. She will finish out the remaining term for Phil Rockefeller, who left to take a governor appointed position at the Northwest Power and Conservation Council.
Sen. Rolfes brings her legislative skill over from the House of Representatives where she has served since 2007.
While she likely won't be assigned to serve on committees until the Senate holds the "Committee on Committees" at the end of August, she stated she looks forward to serving the 23rd by focusing on economic growth, education, and making the ferry system stronger.
