Today Sen. Jim Hargrove and Sen. Nick Harper will review reform efforts and government accountability before the Senate Ways & Means Committee. The two lawmakers have spent two months examining past reforms to government programs and services to preserve cost saving changes and to identify new reforms to save the state millions of dollars now and in future budgets.
Hargrove and Harper will be joined by representatives from the State Auditor’s Office, the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee and the Washington State Institute for Public Policy to discuss policy changes and savings recommended by the oversight agencies.
