The Senate, in a lengthy floor session that began at 8:30 this morning and didn't end until just before 4 this afternoon, worked through all the amendments to Senate Bill 6143, then deferred action on the measure.
That's one of two revenue bills the Ways and Means Committee moved out yesterday to generate $890 million as part of a balanced approach to plugging the state's $2.8 billion budget hole.
No amendments were adopted that will change the size of the revenue package. The Senate has adjourned until noon Sunday.
